The X7 Chat Project was started in the summer of 2003. The original goal was simply to create a 'click-free' free chat script that removed the annoying click from Internet Explorer without having to run a registry edit on all client computers. After finishing this first goal we decided that the project should be expanded. We added tons of features and the script grew and grew until it reached the point that it is at today, thousands of lines of code and over 25,000 downloads.
