My v1 chatroom totally collapsed for no appearant reason during the middle of a chat, and then a few minutes later, it worked again. What happened?

If it happens more than once it's probably a problem with the chat using too many resources of the MySql server.  In this case I recommend upgrading to version 2.  If it only happened once then it most likely was just a one time problem with the server.
